About Jenny

Hi, I’m Jenny.

I’m passionate about helping children, teens, young adults, and parents better understand what they’re experiencing, build confidence, and create meaningful change.

I specialize in working with anxiety, ADHD and executive functioning challenges, emotional and behavioral concerns, perfectionism, social challenges, low self-esteem, depression and low mood, learning differences, and life transitions.

Before starting in private practice, I worked as a school psychologist in the public school system, where I provided counseling, conducted psychological assessments, developed IEPs and 504 Plans, and worked closely with families and school teams. That experience gave me a unique understanding of the emotional, behavioral, social, and academic factors that can impact children and teens, while also shaping the way I partner with parents and school professionals to support the whole child.

I transitioned into private practice in 2021, where my work has focused on therapy with children, adolescents, young adults, and parents.

I live in Towson with my husband and toddler son. I enjoy reading, yoga and exercise, spending time with friends and family, and am almost always learning something new, whether through a book, podcast, or training.

My Approach

Individualized, thoughtful support.

I don’t believe therapy should look exactly the same for every person. Children and families bring different strengths, personalities, experiences, and needs into the room, and therapy should reflect that. I strive to create a space where clients feel understood and supported, while also being gently challenged to build new skills, try new approaches, and make meaningful changes.

Using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), play-based interventions, exposure therapy, mindfulness, and behavioral strategies, I help clients develop greater awareness, build practical skills, and approach challenges in new ways.

Children are constantly growing and changing, and what brings a child to therapy today may look different six months or a year from now. I’m passionate about continuing to learn and staying current with research, approaches, and treatment modalities so that I can adapt my work as my clients’ needs evolve.

A child’s emotional health, behavior, learning, relationships, family, and school experiences are often interconnected. When helpful, I value working alongside parents and school professionals to understand the bigger picture and provide consistent support across settings.

I also recognize that no therapist can be the right fit or have the right expertise for every need. If a client would benefit from support outside my areas of expertise, I will help connect the family with appropriate resources. Above all, I want families to feel supported in finding the care that best meets their needs.
