Services
Support for children, teens, young adults, and parents, with collaboration across home, school, and therapy when helpful.
Child Therapy
When your child is struggling, it can be hard to know what they need or how best to help. Worries, big emotions, changes in behavior, or difficulties at school or with friends can all be signs that a little extra support may be helpful.
I work with children experiencing anxiety and fears, ADHD and executive functioning challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioral difficulties, social challenges, low self-esteem, and life transitions.
Therapy is tailored to your child’s age, personality, strengths, and individual needs. Through conversation, play, creative activities, and evidence-based strategies, I help children better understand their emotions, build coping skills and confidence, and find new ways to handle challenges.
Parents are part of the process.
You know your child best, and your involvement can be an important part of therapy. Depending on your child’s needs, this may include parent check-ins, strategies to try at home, or dedicated parent sessions. When helpful, I can also collaborate with your child’s school and other members of their support system.
My goal is to understand the whole child, not just the challenge that brought them to therapy, and work together toward meaningful, lasting change.
Teen & Young Adult Therapy
The teen and young adult years bring a lot of change. School, work, friendships, romantic relationships, family expectations, increasing independence, identity exploration, and uncertainty about the future can sometimes feel overwhelming.
I work with teens and young adults experiencing various forms of anxiety, ADHD and executive functioning challenges, depression or low mood, perfectionism, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and challenges with transitions. Therapy offers a supportive, nonjudgmental space to talk openly about these experiences, better understand yourself, and identify what feels most important to you. Together, we develop practical strategies for navigating challenges and moving toward the changes you want to make.
Parent & Caregiver Support
Parenting can feel exhausting, especially when you feel like you’ve tried everything and aren’t sure what to do next. Parenting was never meant to happen in isolation. Sometimes having someone alongside you to step back, understand what is happening, and build a plan can make all the difference.
As both a therapist and a mother, I understand that knowing what to do in theory and figuring out what works in the middle of everyday life can be very different things. Drawing on my knowledge of child development, behavior, and evidence based parenting strategies, we will work together to build a practical toolkit that fits your child and your family.
Parent coaching can help you feel more confident in understanding what your child may be communicating and responding in ways that feel intentional and consistent rather than reactive. We can also explore what may be getting in the way, including differences in parenting styles, family dynamics, and how your own experiences may influence the way you parent.
You don’t have to figure it all out alone. My goal is to partner with you, help you build your village, and leave you feeling more confident, connected, and equipped to respond to your child’s needs.
School Consultation & Collaboration
Children benefit most when the important adults in their lives are working together. With parent/guardian permission, I collaborate with teachers, school counselors, learning specialists, school administrators, and other school professionals to support a coordinated approach across home, school, and therapy.
Collaboration with your child’s school team is often an important part of therapy. Brief emails, phone calls, and routine communication with school professionals are included as part of child therapy when clinically appropriate.
At times, a child’s needs may call for more extensive consultation and collaboration. This may include recommendations for accommodations or behavioral supports, development of behavior plans, school observations, detailed record review, or participation in IEP or 504 Plan meetings.
When more extensive consultation would be helpful, we will discuss the recommended services, scope, and any additional fees in advance.
